i wrote this poem a while ago, this seems like a right time to post it.

I am choking,
on the smell,
of burned childhood
Breathing in deep,
the absence of innocence.
The drones have left,
in their wake
Broken homes
and shattered dreams
Hearts beautified
With bullet holes.
I am not afraid,
We exchange vows
And bury our dead
we kiss our lovers
With thirst and passion
For when the drones strike.

Peace has temporarily left the building
Hope has hugged us
and sang us lullabies
Hope has warmed those
Cold winter nights
Peace has temporarily left the building

-Obamas drones

Gazza-Palestine, Israel, The United Nations, The Arab League and my Sentiments.

So, if you know me or have read my post from a year or two ago or follow my twitter(@switslim), you will know my stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Lately, with the siege in Gazza where hundreds of people have being killed, men, women, children, BABIES, i have found it very hard to come up with words to explain the horrors these people are going through. Watching the news has become a certain nightmare for me, looming with pictures of dead children and as much as my horrors and heart ache terrify me, it does not even come close to being compared to what the children in Gazza go through every single day. Israel is claiming to be at war with Hamas but so far i do not see Hamas in any of these children who have departed this life so early. Palestine has no army, has no F-16s, has no navy but still Israel is claiming to be at war with Palestine. Israel is weak and pathetic and as people who have survived the horrifying holocaust, they should be in the best position to condemn any form of human rights abuse across the globe. Right now asking for sympathy for the holocaust while massively attacking the people in Palestine is very ridiculous. Israel is occupying a people and asking for sympathy from its victims.
Israel do not want peace, time and again they have refused negotiations with the Palestinians. Time and again Palestinians have always being the ones coming up with solutions at these negotiations while Israel have never come up with anything but are so quick to refuse the proposals by the Palestinians.
I use the term "The Palestinians" and refer to the Israelis as just "Israel" deliberately.

I would like to take this moment to applaud the UN and The Arab League. Your bravery has being inspirational to all of us. NOT!

The UN has shown times without number how incompetent and disappointing it is as an International body of authority. The UN has allowed Israel to break 10s of resolutions set to it by the UN. They have repeatedly shoved Israels' offences under the rug. This is not the only situation in which the UN has proven to be as useless as a chocolate kettle, we have seen how the UN allowed Syria to plunge into a deplorable state. The UN in collaboration with Britain, the United States of America and SAUDI ARABIA collectively agreed to the creation of the state of Israel in the land of Palestine knowing full well that two states should have being created on that faithful day in May 14, 1948. All of these supposed bodies of authority today have faltered in taking responsibility for the mess they created in the region. I will not even talk about how Saudi Arabia has side lined itself like it did not assume the responsibility of judge and jury for all arab nations. They practically SOLD the land of Palestine.
Below this post, i will post a list of Resolutions against Israel by the UN between 1955-2011.

Two offensive words to describe the Arab League "Fat Fucks". As much as i am disappointed in the UN, i am more disappointed in the Arab League. This was an organisation, created for this exact reason. To mediate and bring lasting peace in the middle east. Muslims like to claim they are all one in the middle east because they hold the same faith and speak the same language but the Arab league has proven times without number that it is not here to uphold that. I bet funds are being generated, i bet someone is gaining from those funds, someone is eating alot of shawarmas with it.  Masha Allah. I hope atleast one person from within the league reads this and realizes that it is blood of innocent children and tears of heart broken mothers in the middle east that is dripping from that juicy shawarma and not assorted sauces.

I would like to say i am disappointed in both Sisi and Obama but i am sort of indifferent towards things i expected. I knew full well when Sisi took power that he would do nothing for Gazza and Obama kisses Israeli ass for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Although i am writing this, i know very well that it does nothing for the horrors taking place as i am typing this. I know very well it does not solve any problems. Words are cheap, easy, this article is cheap, easy, words will forever remain just words until we put actions behind it. Actions are what is required of us now as citizens of this earth. I read about several ambassadors condemning the siege in Gazza and i wondered if any of them has the balls to take it up with figures of authority and demand action. We are just little people, the people have shown massive disdain for the actions of Israel. There has being protests all over the world and as an avid user of social media platforms like Twitter and Tumblr, i have seen tons of support for Gazza and so much condemnation of all the abuse and murder.
Regardless, we are just kids of the internet. Our protests and articles may or may not push our governments to lend a helping hand and stand for Justice and Freedom but we will write on anyway.
